Warranties

 

 

All products supplied by J K Bikes Lltd are covered by a 6 MONTH 6000KM warranty on all non-wearable parts. The 6 MONTH 6000KM day warranty period begins at the date of the delivery from J K Bikes Ltd. Any damage which occurs in transit from J K Bikes Ltd MUST be reported within 24 hrs of delivery.

Use of a product contrary to the instructions will invalidate the whole warranty so please read the instructions carefully and ensure the item is used only in accordance with these instructions.

For clarification the following table lists what is covered and what is not covered by the warranty.

  • Foot pegs 
  • Wheel bearings
  • Weld failure (unless caused by misuse)
  • Brake cables
  • Accelerator cables
  • Throttle assembly
  • Drive sprockets (unless caused by incorrect adjustment)
  • Fuel tanks
  • Brake discs
  • Brake levers
  • Shock absorbers
  • Engines (UNLESS CAUSED BY INSUFFICIENT LUBRICATION)
  • Gearboxes (unless caused by insufficient lubrication)

 

  • Batteries    
  • Lights/indicators and horns
  • Weld failure caused by excessive stress/misuse
  • Punctures and failure of the tyre valves
  • Failure of any instruments, power meters etc
  • Brake pads/callipers  
  • Any cosmetic damage eg scratches, cracks, paint  imperfections
  • Chains
  • Fuel/Air filters
  • Carburettors
  • Spark Plugs
  • Exhausts
  • Clutches

 

PLEASE NOTE - USE OF THE INCORRECT FUEL MIXTURE WILL INVALIDATE THE WARRANTY

IT IS THE USER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK AND MAINTAIN THE FOLLOWING:-

  • ALL NUTS/BOLTS/SPLIT PINS
  • OIL LEVELS
  • CARBURETOR ADJUSTMENT
  • AIR/FUEL FILTERS
  • BRAKE ADJUSTMENT
  • ALL SAFETY RELATED ITEMS EG STEERING ETC

Returns Procedure
To return an item for a warranty PARTS ONLY please follow these guidelines:-

  • The item must be packaged a box (we will not be responsible for any damage in transit)
  • If the fault is found to be a warranty fault we will repair the item and return it at no charge.
  • If the fault is found to be a non-warranty fault we will provide a quote for the repair and for the return of the item.

The initial cost of sending the item for repair is at the customer's own expense.
